Mokpo Photos

At the top of Il-deung-bawi, I saw this Asian looking squirrel. Pointy little ears, cute.

I found myself a bit fascinated with the people of Mokpo and took several photos of them (I asked them all for permission before snapping just fyi).

This particular hal-mo-ni (grandma) was begging for money. She was rather audacious in asking, no humility, it was like, give me your money.

I had to semi plead with this halmoni for a photograph. She looks rather weathered and interesting, and I wanted a photo, but she went on and on about how her daughter is always taking photos and that she was over photos. Lol. I was like, just one? She said ok - I made it a good one! :)

These ha-dah-buh-jjis (grandfathers) were actually very gracious in letting me take photos. They were actually quite happy to. The one on the left was like, here, here, let's take a good photo for her. They were cute.

LOL. Ok, so this ah-juh-ssi is selling nuts. I was on my way out of Mokpo, waiting to cross the street at this light. I'm just standing there, when all of a sudden, without changing the direction he was facing (basically looking exactly like he is below), his left arm move towards me, fist closed, indicating for me to open my hand, and he drops in a handful of peanuts, lol. I said thank you, but again, he never actually acknowledged me, just kept staring off, and I proceeded to cross the street nibbling on fresh street nuts.

This is taking in the city of Mokpo from up on Il-deung-bawi.

I love these rooftops. There is so much color, but really, you can see these rooftops anywhere in the country.

Oh one more, this ah-ju-mah was walking up the same path I was going up Il-deung-bawi. I have no idea where she was headed but, with that thing on my head, I would not have gone that way. She's clearly much more talented than I though.
